Good morning from Saint John and a very happy TGIF to you all! This was the view from my eleventh story window, yesterday...the first day of spring. As beautiful as my view is, I couldnt help but feel a bit ripped off. Im on holidays (yeah!) its the first day of spring, it shouldnt be snowy, freezing rain, windy with fog patches. Nope! Its supposed to be warm, sunny, and clear enough for me to see across the Bay of Fundy. Now I had two choices when I looked out the window..I could let the poor weather ruin my day or I could say, Oh well, its just the weather, Im on vacation. Lets go see what this place is all about. Im so glad that I decided to adjust my attitude. Because if I had stayed in a funk I wouldve missed the fabulous people that I met on my travels. I wouldve missed out on the lovely lady cab driver that delivered me from the airport safe and sound and made me feel like a long lost friend. I wouldve missed out on the delightful Tim Hortons staff who remembered me AND my order after just one day. I wouldve missed two terrific curling games and great fun with friends. Im so glad I decided to shrug off what looked like the start of a crappy day and chose to be happy. You see happiness is only possible when you appreciate what you already have...which technically means we could all be happy in this very moment if were grateful for what we have. But if we think well only be happy when we get what we want somewhere down the line, then were putting happiness at some point in the future instead today. So my little peeps, I know the weather where you are isnt feeling too springy and perhaps you dont think there is much to look forward to today. Because I think there is a little bit of fabulous in every day and sometimes it may be a bit harder to find, but I think it will be worth your effort to look. Be open, choose happiness and find the fabulous! And remember I love you all .. 💛!!
