Good morning guys. A fine day to come today for much of England and Wales, with some decent sunshine on offer at times, however some cloud will affect Eastern areas of England and the South East of England with a few showers developing here. Cloud also across the Western Isles of Scotland with some rain here at times, although the rain will clear during the day leaving cloudy but mainly dry conditions. Brighter weather for Southern and Eastern parts of Scotland with some decent spells of sunshine. A fine day to come for Northern Ireland with sunny spells, perhaps hazy at times, but it should remain dry here. Cloud increasing during the day for much of England and Wales although spells of sunshine are still expected and it should remain dry away from South East England and East Anglia. A light but noticeable breeze for much of the UK today, although particularly fresh along Eastern coasts, the far South East of England and coastal areas of Eastern Scotland. Todays pollen count will be moderate for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Moderate levels are also expected for Southern parts of Scotland, with perhaps high levels in Eastern Scotland. Northern parts of Scotland will see a low pollen count. The UV index today will be moderate for the majority of the UK although low in Northern parts of Scotland and the Western Isles. Maximum temperatures today generally ranging from 10°C to 14°C in England and Wales although cooler near Eastern coasts in a fresh breeze. Northern Ireland will see highs today ranging from 10°C to 13°C. Scotland will see the mildest of the weather today with temperatures here typically ranging from 10°C to 15°C, perhaps as high as 17°C locally in some Northern parts away from the coast. Central Eastern parts of Scotland will see the coolest weather with temperatures here at the lower end of the range. Into this evening and overnight we see cloud continuing to increase for Southern and Eastern parts of England with a few showers possible at times. More general rain will arrive from the South and East towards dawn as our low pressure system makes an appearance. Some of this rain may be heavy and perhaps thundery at times although it is likely to be during tomorrow morning that the rain makes any significant progress inland. Elsewhere in England and Wales will be mainly dry overnight with cloud continuing to increase. Western parts of England and also Wales will see less in the way of cloud initially with an early frost possible in places during the first half of the night, although generally becoming cloudier here during the second half of the night. Scotland will see a dry night with some clear spells developing, although mist and low cloud will move in during the night to affect Eastern parts. Where it remains clear there is the risk of a frost developing. A dry night to come for Northern Ireland with some clear spells although some low cloud and mist is possible in places. A frost is likely, mainly in rural areas. Becoming increasingly windy overnight for much of England and Wales, especially in the South East of England and along Eastern coasts. Lighter winds expected elsewhere. Minimum temperatures overnight ranging from 3°C to 5°C in Western parts of England, Wales and the North West of England although milder in the far South West. Also milder for Northern England, the East Midlands, East Anglia and Southern and Eastern England with minimum values here overnight ranging from 6°C to 9°C, although a degree or so up on this by dawn especially in South Eastern parts. Scotland will see overnight lows generally ranging from 3°C to 6°C, although milder than this in Western Scotland and the Western Isles with temperatures perhaps holding up around 7°C or 8°C in places. Northern Ireland will see minimum values overnight typically ranging from 3°C to 5°C although a little colder in rural areas. Have a great day. - Jon
