Good morning heres a WTSA news update: The Vermont supreme court has overturned a state decision on the value of high voltage transmission lines in Vernon. The high court said the state appraiser used the wrong depreciation in setting value for the lines owned by Vermont Transco. The case, involving the 2011 value of the property lines, was referred back to the state appraiser for a new value to be set. A discussion about the regions economic development strategy is planned Thursday in Brattleboro The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation is holding a 630 meeting at the Robert Gibson River Garden for groups who will be updating existing or submitting new projects as well as those considering applying for VY economic development funding. New projects can be added to the regional economic development plan through September 30. An area non profit is expanding, to help low income residents deal with purchasing a vehicle. A grant from the Canaday Family Charitable Trust will help expand service to veterans and military families and those who work in the health care, homecare and social services sectors.
