Good morning, my friends....& Enemies. "Reviewing Life Through a Tinted Glass" As I view life now, which I consider my Autumn Years I see my past years a little more clearer. The dark tinted glass has been replaced by a glass although still slightly tented I see more clearly now. Having been so close to death at least twice that I know of for certain and the countless times I was close but not aware. I realize more now or let me say I understand more and one of the things I see more clearly is that "God does not think as we do" & we all should be thankful for this. I early on in my life never thought much about Eternal Life and just what it meant. I relate as being on a boat in fast moving water hearing the roar, the beauty of nature etc. but the roar is seemingly getting louder, & louder til I realized, O God help me it is a water fall, I am about to go over, down to my death. It seems that anyone time a person went down in biblical sense it ended in destruction. Somebody help me please, thro me a lifeline make sure to anchor it to something secure such as a large Rock, seconds later I was on bank standing or leaning against the Rock which I still lean on today with my life line still secure. Amen Let us view Eternal Life from Gods point of view first, God view the true believer as being, born again (saved), cleansed, sanctified, clean, justified, whiter than new fallen snow. Our sins have been washed away and will never appear again just like the snow when it has melted and absorbed into the earth never to be seen again. God removed our sin on that Old Rugged Cross at Calvary which He Died. We look at ourselves through tinted glass, I view myself as you may view yourself, as being old, worn out, and as for myself i believed I would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life, unable to do as others. Our past seems to rise up & haunt us, we count ourselves as weak, unable to work or give of our time, yet we claim to be a child of God. Kind a lopsided view of our Christian life. We see only little of the entire picture. 1Corinthians 13:12a (For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face:) " now I know in part; but then shall I know even as I am known." As always-May God Bless Larry 10/08/13
