Good morning my friends. Well, I got to bed at 11:30 and got up at 3:30. I am getting back on to my schedule. What a Convention we had for the North Carolina District Exchange Clubs. Met some wonderful new friends and renewed some old friendships. If you are looking for a way to serve your community, come join us at the Mooresville/Lake Norman Exchange Club or one in your area. We have so much fun when we get together while we are doing great works like: Preventing Child Abuse, American projects, community service, and working and recognizing our youth. I kind of hate to see this weekend coming to an end and saying goodbye to our friends, as the old daddy used to say, “It is what it is.” But, I will remember the good times we had and the great belly-laughs we had last night in the Hospitality Room. Getting to know our National Representative, Phil Howard from Division VI in the Nashville, Tennessee area was a real treat…a great man if there ever was one. Another great man that has become our friend is Dan McQueeney from Charleston, SC area. Dan is our Region 10 Vice President. Dan, by the way, is running for National President of The National Exchange Clubs. I don’t think there would be a better man for the job than Dan who is a club builder and loves Exchange with all his heart. Well, I suppose it’s time to gather our belongings and load them on to one of those cars and head out to the van to begin the trek home. 5:00 AM is a great time to start and get going before all the rest of the travelers, do. So, I hope you all have a good day and safe travels where ever it is you are heading and don’t forget to say your prayers first. And one more thing, don’t forget to thank the Good Lord for what you have and be sure to laugh over something today even if it is yourself. God Bless!!
