Good morning once again to everyone out there. A lot of people - TopicsExpress

Good morning once again to everyone out there. A lot of people on this site are asking how come the Bureau of Meteorology have not issued anything on this developing system in the coral sea and as we do not work for the BOM we can not be 100% sure why they have not, so therefore some common sense has to prevail in why the bureau have not issued anything as yet. It is most likely due to the fact because it takes a number of model runs from all the models and then agreement over those runs between them or at least the majority of these forecasting models before they can be exactly sure on making official watches or warnings to the public. Remember the east coast is highly populated and they have to be mindful on not over doing it too early and setting off the masses of people, especially if they dont have concrete information on this system that they believe is worth issuing watches or warnings. Once they believe a threat from a cyclone or low which will develop as it tracks towards the queensland coast is looking more likely than not, its then they start to issue the OFFICIAL warnings and other related information on these systems and as we do not work for the bureau of meteorology there will be no speculation on when they will or will not issue relevant warnings and watches. That is for the senior forecaster at the BOM to decide. Allan
