Good morning .. this morning is a nice cool one .. i was out side having my coffee this morning and looking at how beautiful everything is its all turning Green now .. and this Big Barn Owl cam Flying out of the Barn . I like Most Lakotas at one time was scared to see Owls or even hear them .. but to day i understand that they are messengers and bring change .. and as human beings we naturally dont like change . it scares us at times .. I have learned to Love owls i have had a few encounters with them i could tell a few stories .. but this one popes in to my mind this morning. as most of you all know i was raised by my Grandparents who i contribute everything that i am to them .I was fortunate i have a great child hood Grandpa & Grandma had horsed cow,chickens geese,GARDENS ,cats dogs ,rabbits lets just say if i wanted a animal we got it my favorite will always be my pig HELEN but that another story so back to the Owl one time i was with one of my cousins and Grandma said she needed sand from the creek so she sent us down the hill to the creek to fill our recycled icream buckets with sand .. well this cousin was always getting hurt and was a clumsy kid who didnt grow in to her body yet .. and when she got hurt or didnt like something always went to tell mama and daddy .. lets just say i love her but she was always getting me in trouble with her parents and it was always my fault .. no mater what it was that happen to her .. so any way we got our buckets filed and was hauling them up the HUGE hill and she Fell spilling all of her buckets of sand i think we had like 3 in each had .. well of course she started crying and saying that i pushed her down blah blaha blaha ... but i a very moment i heard my grandma yell whats wrong .. from some place up by the barn .. and like a bolt of lighting as i was going to be attacked and hit this HUGE BARN owl can swooping down at my cousin who was going to hit me .. the owl made 3 or 4 passes at her .. she was laying in the tall weeds crying .. and yelling Joy Lynns Owl is trying to kill me . LOL .. so yes i got chewed out by her parents ..AGAIN .. something i was use too .. but soon as they went back to their home i was always comforted by my Grandparents .. who let me know that i did nothing wrong and we know how clumsy she is .. so this is the owl story i thought of today .. and im sure me seeing the owl this morning just means CHANGE and tho we are scared of it sometimes we must appreciate it .. it can be a good thing so this was my thought this morning just wanted to share
