Good news. And help please: Ive just been given a gig writing a column for an exciting new magazine - Bread Wine & Thou - which has a food focus and is literary in style. I have the Pantry column, and for the first issue (Unloved), I need to come up with a bunch of unloved pantry items - you know, those ones that we all buy but never use, that go off etc etc (pantry can include fridge and freezer). Eg, I recently cleaned out Mums herb/spice cupboard and found jars in there that were mostly from the early nineties. Two were from the late eighties. So I could say something about them. The column is meant to be funny. I need some ideas! What unloved food items do you always end up throwing out (or never throw out, as the case may be)? Another eg: a friend admitted to frequently buying mustards when he already has a jumble that hes not using. Thanks for the help! Ideas + comments about those ideas would greatly assist - Id be very grateful : ). xx
