Good news and bad news everyone. Good news .. the High Wind Watch has been cancelled for the Tri-Citites/Flint/Thumb areas. The bad news ... a High Wind WARNING is now in effect from Midnight tonite till 10 tomorrow morning. 30-40 mph winds, with gusts to 50 mph will develop tonite .. the strongest winds, with gusts to 60 mph will occur overnight, between 1 and 7 tomorrow morning, then decrease quickly after that. Trees and power lines will likely be downed from the wind, especially trees with wet leaves on them. Power outages are highly possible .. and travel tonite and early tomorrow on north/south roads will become hazardous. The High Wind Warning was just issued by the Natiional Wester Service in Detroit, and affects the Tri-Cities, Flint and Thumb areas. Again, keep an eye on your stuff outside, tie down the garbage cans, and keep your cell phones and laptops fully charged, just in case. Its definitely on its way .. be prepared !
