Good news for Migori County residents as over 190,000 children within the county have been lined up for a five day polio drive in order to eradicate the disease from the county. According to Ochieng Ombogo, the Migori County Environmental Health Services officer, the exercise kicked off over the weekend and is already going on well. “Over 400 medics are taking part in the exercise after undergoing training,” he said adding that the vaccinations is taking place in all the eight districts of the county. According to Ombogo, this is the firt round of the anti-polio drive with the second round expected to take place between 17-21 next month.
