Good news update: hi. Im seeing so many heartbreaking posts on the page from women experiencing what its like to deal with professionals whove been snowed by the n-ex. my heart goes out to those people I know exactly how they feel and wanted to post an update. I have come through a storm. this time last year I feared I would lose my very sick little boy because of the malicious actions of an extremely malevolent social worker who took my exs side. the lengths this social worker went to to try to make me look like a bad mother was sickening and I was terrified. I had updated in may that I went to court where the social worker attempted to give evidence against me but by that stage Id had lots of counselling and support to get my strength back and I wiped the floor with him, my ex and my exs attorney. I have now written a formal complaint to this social workers accrediting body. his actions are now being investigated, there is a lot of evidence pointing to professional and ethical misconduct and its likely hes going to lose his position. in addition to this my ex has lost all credibility with my sons medical team and he has now been court ordered to hand over all medical consent to me and literally been completely cut out of any future care plans for my son. he still takes are son 3 days a month but is being so closely watched by child protection that hes afraid to move. my advice to anyone at the start of this. Please please document and record everything I know its a pain in the ass when youre also trying to raise kids but it will stand to you. Youre building a case and gathering evidence. stay calm. when speaking to professionals stick to facts. youre ex will constantly try to deflect blame back at you...but if you can take the proof out of your little folder and silently pass it across the desk to said professional it works wonders. never ever agree to anything verbally, get it in writing. invest in a smart phone that can record phonecalls. No you cant use it legally but you can use it to let ex know you have proof. a call recorder turned out to be invaluable for me in all this as I recorded innapropriate calls from the social worker which he knows Ive done. above all please please keep fighting keep your head up. even when you feel nobody in the world believes you as long as YOU know the truth and are prepared to keep speaking it in the face of adversity youre doing ok. I was a mouse at the start of this, I have clawed back my dignity and self esteem and now the n will never ever take it away again.
