Good old ABC-TV. One-eyed leftie reporting at its best. Have they got prayer rooms and mats at all the branches yet? While I could give an almost endless list of food items that all Muslims know quite well are halal without having to have a sticker to tell them, Ill limit it to a couple. Parmalat caved in and purchased halal certification for their white milk products. White milk is naturally halal and needs no certification. But Parmalat are less honest about their arrangements than some other businesses. They dont mark their labels with the halal certification stamp, and after receiving a lot of negative feedback they even removed the halal certificates from their website. However, they continue to pay for halal certification for a product that doesnt need it. Clearly Parmalat knows quite well that Australians are rebelling against halal certification, so they choose the path of deception. To anyone who wants to look, there are countless examples available of halal certifiers using extortion to force suppliers to pay up. Capilano Honey admitted as much when they said: While we appreciate that honey is considered halal under Islamic law, it is our customers requirement to provide halal certification in order for us to conduct business with them. Now tell me thats not a threat that amounts to extortion. And the certifiers and some disgruntled business owners have the gall to claim that WE, the halal objectors, are engaging in bullying! But heres a really good one... Could someone please tell me the reason why pet food needs to have halal certification? Maybe there are a lot of Muslims eating cat food. They cant be eating dog food because their cults founder declared that dogs are unclean. Just one example: Purina Fancy Feast cat food. Yep, its halal certified. Maybe for those exceptional cats that follow the Five Pillars of Islam! But then I have to wonder how the cats feel about fasting at Ramadan. And how do they do the Pilgrimage? No animals allowed at Makkah. True journalism and reporting is unbiased and sticks to the facts – all the facts. Here is a fact for those journalists of the leftie/greenie persuasion: We dont care about eating halal food. We do it every day. What we care about is a dozen or so Muslims using threats and extortion to force Australian businesses to pay for an unnecessary certification, and getting themselves rich (obscenely rich in some cases) in the process. We also care very much about what the money reaped from halal certification is used for and where it goes. There is ample evidence that this needs thorough investigation. And Ill bet its an investigation that will lead to Indonesia and Saudi Arabia and on to some very unpalatable organisations. youtu.be/mX4ycOGK81o
