Good parents are those who help their children’s marriage grow and prosper, or – at the least – do not contribute to its breakdown. Sadly, too many parents interfere negatively in their children’s lives and become a means of marital discord. As parents, all your life you make dua’ for your child to be granted a righteous spouse, and once they finally get married, you cause for the marriage to collapse – it just does not make sense! Once your children are married, come out of their lives, and allow them to manage their own lives. Indeed, if they require assistance, help them but ensure not to have a negative impact on their marital relationship.
