Good people will be remembered as a blessing... - Proverbs 10:7 in the Bible Happy birthday to my dear friend Abiodun (Abby) Ojo Nnorom who passed away six years ago. I saw the above quote on a Christmas card that my mom sent me last week and it perfectly described Abby. As I look back, I can say with absolute conviction that she truly was a blessing in my life. Anyone who knew her would say that she was one of the most selfless individuals in the world. I still miss her, but I try to remember two things to help me not be stricken with so much grief from her loss. One, I remind myself that a part of her lives on in me whenever I copy her examples of being a good person. And two, my faith teaches me that I will someday be reunited with those I have lost through death. To quote Juda when he paid his respects to his deceased friend Maximus in the end scene of the movie Gladiator, I will see you again, but not yet. Not yet. Like Abby, I have a lot of good to do in this world and hopefully Ill be remembered as a blessing by those Ive impacted in a positive way. Happy Born Day, Abby.
