***Goodbye darling Podge*** A little dog today was given her wings. She fought a brave battle right to the very end. Podge was found wandering the streets, and was very close to a busy highway. A concerned citizen stopped their car, got out, caught Podge and took her to Renbury Farm pound. She was never reclaimed & therefore came into PFTs care. She went to a very special home. A home that was willing to ensure her medical needs (Cushings Disease) were met, that she would be treasured, adored & loved so very very much. The sad part to this is that Mummy Alison has now said goodbye to her 2nd PFT Sanctuary Dog this year alone (Sausage & Podge). Being a carer for a senior dog is a selfless thing to do - we know that each one comes with limited time. Podge had the best Mummy for two years - I cant ask for more than that for any of my dogs. I hope that in 4 weeks time, the gift of Hubba Bubba into the home will ease the saddness a small bit. Its never easy losing one of our PFT Sanctuary Dogs. All I can feel is gratitude and respect to each of my Sanctuary Carers for opening their home & hearts to these dear, dear, sweet, old & sick little sweethearts. RIP Podge
