Goodyear Getaway in Glorieta is closing. LifeWay, ignoring 59 years of precedence, has decided not to renew our land lease. They are also ignoring the fact that the deed on record in Santa Fe is in the name of the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention and are selling the property without an SBC vote or approval. They are "selling" the entire property to youth camp style group back by a home builder/developer for $1. The new owners have offered us $40,000 for our $150,000 house. LifeWay and the new owners call that offer "fair". LifeWay also claims to model its business practices on the scripture "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Although they give lip service to the scripture, it is obvious that they have abandoned that model in practice. I encourage you to contact LifeWay and tell them what you think of their business practices.
