Goosebumps and happiness is what I feel! I am so thankful for Ciara and our family to be part of such a caring and supportive school community. Last week prior to our trip to NYC, I approached Ciaras counselor about seeing if the kids could make super hero cards for our friend Prestun, whom recently relapsed and what she came up with in a short time was amazing. Not only did Ciaras class make Prestun superhero cards that we delivered while in NYC, but they sent home information on childhood cancer, information on Nueroblastoma and Ciara, as well as making Ciara a big part of their focus for collecting pop tabs and organized a superhero day where they will all wear superhero shirts and take a group picture to send to Prestun. My heart is happy and filled with joy! The day of the superhero day could not be more perfect as Prestun will be undergoing brain surgery that day to remove the tumor.
