Gordon Tsang, Isabel Stoppani de Berrié I love the performance here, and the flutes have a quite diverting melody in the Adagio. But I dont understand talk of rip-offs (but in the eighteenth century to borrow music was seen as a compliment and homage). They are both very typical fugues to my ear, although Mozarts is perhaps more wedded to Bach Père, and W. F. modernises his by adding a drive reminiscent of a Concerto Grosso. Also he doesnt play around with his theme in the way that Mozart does. Or at least I didnt hear any inversions.
