Got a brief update via text this morning from Ben and Emily Nieman, Levi has been taken off the cpap machine and is breathing on his own!!!! We are so excited. This is ahead of the schedule set yesterday. Praise God. He has also been moved to a new/different room. (I assume a step down unit) which doesnt require 1 on 1 nursing care. Parents are TRILLED!! Will keep you posted as we learn more. Jim and I came home last night to tend to our family. Ben and Emily are doing really well, seem to have settled into their rolls and feeling comfortable with the hospital and staff. It was time for them to fly solo. :) We are so very proud of them both, they have been through the fire these last few days, and they have emerged on the other side refined and shinning like gold. Even the hospital staff has commented that they are very impressed with Levis parents. God is Good!
