Got a call today from the Secretary at the docs office. They are working things out and will let me know asap when they want me back in New York. I asked about getting a cgi of the possible outcome of the method that Im wanting to take. She said that she wasnt sure if they had the software to do that. But on a somewhat lighter note (I think. I havent figured out if its good or bad yet) she only knew of two options. The orbital prosthetic (silicone eye patch) or occular prosthetic... which means they would just make the prosthetic that I already have, fit. However, the doctor did say that it would be possible to stretch the muscles etc. As I wrote about in the doc I created. Sabrina asked about it and He said they could do it, but that it would take years to get it where we want it. But as I said before, Ive lived with this all my life. Whats a few more years? A lot of information was thrown in our direction that day and I was pretty distraught but Im thinking they may have been talking about the occular prosthetic option when they said that I probably wouldnt like the result. There may still be hope but Im trying to stay realistic about it. Forcing myself to be optimistic here. But not overly optimistic.
