Got a phone call from my oldest friend letting me know his mom was in hospice care now. She has alzheimers and cant take care of herself and doesnt have much longer. I know there are alot of people in the healthcare industry, my thing is, these people are in your care. It may be a job to you but these people are someones mother or father. When you just let someone lay there in their own urine and feces and you wont come in and even turn them so they dont get bedsores is completely uncalled for and simply inhuman. This woman is my Angel, shes never said a mean word to anyone or about anyone. She raised her children and was a devoted wife for over 60 or 70 years. These people need your respect and help. If it were your mother, father or even child or maybe you, how long would you have to lay in a damn bed before you expected someone to come in. Oh and because of her Alzheimers she cant understand just to push a button. Which we did twice before we finally had to go get someone.My heart goes out to Mrs.Rhoades because she doesnt deserve even a minute of what shes dealing with and then she gets treated like this by a healthcare facility. I pray that she can rest comfortably til she meets god and doesnt have to deal with all this pain.
