Got a proper bollocking today from my bosss boss saying I shouldnt be getting so involved in the detail of things.....take a more holistic view....manage people to do things rather than do things myself. He wasnt happy that Id gone to a site and done the engineering thing cos we didnt have resources to do it properly...proper bent my ear! Then I was copied in on an email from my Director, forwarded from my customer, telling him how proud he must be to have such a committed, dedicated and customer-focussed project manager on his team, a true credit to your organisation, dontcha know! Got a phone call 30 seconds later from said bosss boss saying yeah, well, might have pre-judged you there, errrrrr, humble pie, then! Sometimes, Im sooooo right, it hurts!
