Got dis txt frm a gud source Im told that in Port Harcourt now some people are dressed like Police and stop cars to ask for particulars.On NO account MUST you allow them into your car if they claim they want to take you to the station.This is the new style of kidnappers. Pls tell others. We anticipate that they might start wearing the uniforms of other authorities in the state, like TIMARIV etc since they are good in jumping into cars in the name of taking you their office. My candid advice;- Do not allow anyone to either enter your car or drive you when they accost you even when you prove or very sure who they are. Ask for the nearest Police station that holds the jurisdiction of that area.Insist you drive alone and let them follow you to that police station to register the case before any discussion.Remember not to panic and make sure your windows are up leaving a small space and the doors locked.Raise alarm if necessary and do not come down unless you want to abandon the car.Remove all valuables from sight before driving out from home.At the arrival to the Police station request to speak with the DPO or most senior officer on duty.Request that your matter charged to court if you are not satisfied with the decision at the police station. Finally try and yourself a simple Car DVR for evidence purposes. It cost less than $100 for one.
