Gotta love it, when soldiers tell you that You just believe whatever the media says and then proceed to reverberate EVERY talking point from the media when dismissing your comments. A soldier told me I was wrong because America had to invade Iraq to stop Saddam from killing his own people. When I pointed out that America killed more Iraqis than Saddam (supporting the Iran-Iraq War, enforcing sanctions that killed as many as 500,000 Iraqi children after Desert Storm), he ignored the evidence and then just jumped to another propaganda position. If there is one thing Ive learned, it is that most soldiers in denial of their service are not interested in the truth, but in destroying it and threatening/bullying those who attempt to get it out there. When they call you a coward for sticking your neck out for truth, remind them that it is THEY who are engaged in a cowardice act, for they are too scared to confront an unwelcome fact that would make them feel uneasy.
