Gotta say, from pre-season we looked like shite. Early in the season, I put it off to a bad pre-season with a lot of players not fit yet after a late summer. I thought our transfer spending was second rate (especially considering we see ourselves in the same light as Barca, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, etc). If you look at those clubs signings compared to ours youll see what I mean. I know FFP was an issue, but still. Frank Lampard, a reject from another competitor, and a new signing for an American club, is featuring in the Champions League, and saved us from a loss against the team that most looks like theyll win the title. Then the season started out decently, but we seem to have NOT improved on any front. I cant even see what our style is. Toure is half the player he was last season, we sold off a quarter of our strikers and our midfield is second or maybe even third best in our league. Pellegrini hasnt changed much of anything, and now its November. Is his job on the line this weekend at OT? Used to being miserable as a City supporter (been a long time follower from afar, and not some Chelsea come lately) but this year seems especially frustrating.
