Government shutdown is a huge failure by our Congress. It also is a telling symptom of an illness in our democracy. Who are these people who were elected to serve our country? We must all vote and we must all know who we are voting for. Why did my fellow Minnesotans elect Michelle Bachmann? Why did Texans elect Tom Cruz? Many more horrible examples can be mentioned. We must elect people who have great ideas, leadership skills, willingness to work until the needed tasks are done, and the promise to serve the people while defending our Constitution. That means no government shutdowns!!!! That is not defending our country. That is not serving the people!!!
