Governor Brown Opens Intersolar and Awakens Solar Professionals Opening Intersolar with excitement was Governor Brown. He placed a challenge on solar industry leaders and participants to lead the climate change by creating awareness while becoming advocates and solar champions. Governor Brown gave an insightful message that places the ball of action in the hands of the solar community’s leaders, conference attendees and solar industry participant’s. Directing their action towards informing the populace the importance of the value of renewable energy in correcting the looming climate change predicament. Climate change is causing an impact on our lives! Governor Brown stated, “The disproportion between scientific knowledge and the irrefutable magnitude of climate change is causing an impact on our way of life, this impact requires more than the “feeble” response to the challenge we world citizens have done in the past. Governor Brown stated “In a time of war, people rise to the occasion, but when the threat is more subtle, it takes clarity, courage, political and personal will to achieve change”. We the people can save our way of life as it is today, by increasing energy efficiency and renewable energy resource use. If we do not we will live in a world that will be more complex because of the continual increase in climate change. This change could make all previous hurricanes such as Katrina seem the norm. Become part of the solution, not the problem!
