Governor Brown has proposed building massive 35-mile twin tunnels - TopicsExpress

Governor Brown has proposed building massive 35-mile twin tunnels to divert the Sacramento River, 350 miles north of Los Angeles. Water from this project would primarily go to large agribusinesses in the Central Valley, while the bill would go to southern California. Southern Californians would pay anywhere from $1.6 to $5 billion of the proposed $50 billion project! This is not acceptable to citizens of San Diego County and will only hurt our economy. The plight of those who are already suffering financial loss from unemployment / underemployment will only worsen and may lead to more mortgage foreclosures and loss of the only homes we can afford. As a 100 % disabled veteran I totally oppose this.
