Governor #Brownback has repeatedly declared that he wants to model Kansas after Texas, the state with no income tax. Well, check out this story from the Texas Tribune. The state is so bankrupt as a result of their reckless tax code that they are converting paved roads to gravel because they cannot afford to repave them. #Ksleg has already raided hundreds of millions from the Kansas highway fund to help fill the budget hole left by the Brownback tax plan. If we continue down the path to zero income tax, this Texas problem could be in Kansas sooner than we think.
