Governor Mutua works smart, not hard.... He knows how to prioritize community sensitive projects for maximum buy in by the same. He knows how to maximize on his few shillings so that the same allocation given to him as the other governors, does three times more! His work is labour intensive hence he employs thousands upon thousands on site, hence creating instant wealth to his people . He has people at his heart and NOT kick backs from projects! He is focused and has marshaled all professionals to his side giving him valuable free advice! He uses his own county network as far as possible to get things done. He multi tasks, so that at any given time there are multiple mega projects going on at equal speed! He has managed to rope in investors to assist him in development big time! By big time, I mean he makes them do mega projects that benefit the community !....NOT GIVING GOD FORSAKEN FOODSTUFF ati kusaidia waathiriwa wa njaa by multi billion companys in Kilifi (sick!) For example his office cost over 100m and all done by the investors in broad daylight! He has put street lights from MACHAKOS junction to town. When he was given 10 m ks to buy his car, he went to Japan instead and bought a Subaru for every minister! ...with the same money ! That is one year ago! Instead of buying expensive fuel guzzlers for showing off...he buys cheap and good vehicles for the job! I was there and saw them live. I speak what I know!....in other words, the fact that YOU HAVE A BUDGET LINE TO USE SO MUCH....it does not mean that you actually use all that money for a single project ! The 200m set aside for the governors mansion simply said, no body will take you to task, if you used so much !... However wisdom and the pathetic situation on the ground will lead you to say, let me use 20m and sVe the rest for say buying tractors and farm implements so that next year.....NOBODY WILL DIE OF HUNGER....! Instead what do we see......? Since there is NO SERIOUS PLATFORM BY KILIFI GOVERNOR FOR EXCHANGE OF IDEAS, I guess, we shall continue writing here and hope someone will know KILIFIAN professionals are concerned that their great county is lagging way behind the boys. This scholarship all countys have given! Its no big deal.....its a great deal though but if its our only flagship project we gave a problem.....especially its skewed political administration ! I saw the much hyped 100 day tenders of building 2 classrooms and toilets ! My o my I thought we would go for a few real things..... Like Rabai which has no HOSPITAL at all , you build a maternity ward in KOMBENI ! Really you need to listen to the locals and mps in order to plan....! Then ten tractors for whole of Kilifi! No single bulldozer! Water pans etc.... Tuta panda vipi kama mashamba hatulimiwi! Wananchi want FOOD ON THE TABLE then other projects to follow! They want a transparent Bursary scheme, that is free from little stupid politics and useless questions...kama mtoto ni wa Kilifi ....asaidiwe pap !...... We have a great county but ... We must learn from EMBU and MACHAKOS .... The two no nonsense COUNTYS, setting the pace...... Vijanaa wa Kilifi wameamka and are asking hard questions and demanding answers ..... Be ready!
