Govt to meet deadline of the digital migration Government is confident that it will successfully guide the nation in migrating from analogue to digital terrestrial television broadcasting within the stipulated deadlines. Information and Broadcasting Deputy Minister, Mwansa Kapeya, says digital television broadcasting will enhance parental control over children by restricting them from watching materials are not suitable for them. Mr. Kapeya says government is happy with the progress of digital migration and that no doubt that the country will make it before the deadline. Mr. Kapeya emphasizes that digital television will make it possible to simultaneously transmit many high quality pictures and sound through efficient use of frequencies. He adds that viewers will have a wider and greater choice and variety for viewing.
