Plus...the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for portions of the mountains of western North Carolina. LIVE this morning: WBTV there...as a fire destroyed two homes and damaged two others in Indian Trail overnight. High winds helped spread and fuel the flames. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Well have details. LIVE this morning: Residents in Burke County are in shock this morning...following the deaths of a couple...who were apparently killed by their son. That led to a manhunt in which a U.S. Forest Service officer was killed. The couples son was later killed in an exchange of gunfire. Well have more on reaction from neighbors. EXPLOSION UPDATE: Rescue workers have now recovered the body of a sixth person killed in a a massive building explosion in New York. As many as 60 others were injured in the explosion believed caused by a gas leak. Police in Austin, Texas say two people were killed when a car drove through barricades set up for the South By Southwest festival and struck a crowd of pedestrians just after midnight. Police say 21 other people were taken to various hospitals, most with minor injuries, but five to seven had more serious injuries. Malaysian officials say planes have checked the site where Chinese satellite images show possible debris from the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner, but nothing was found. Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal is reporting that U.S. investigators believe the plane may have flown for four hours once it lost contact with air traffic controllers. Two drivers are now charged with driving under the influence after one crashed into the other in Charlotte. We have details on what happened. Weve just learned that former Florida Governor Reubin Askew has died; he led state through integration battles of the 1970s. Chalk up another win for the Charlotte Bobcats! Al Jefferson had 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Gerald Henderson went 6 for 9 in his return from a calf injury Wednesday night to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 98-85 win over the Washington Wizards.
