Grabbed Jack from basketball last night and noticed our teenage neighbor coaching the boys. Will pick him up tomorrow from 7x7 where two more teenage boys coach. Drove by a group of elementary talent show kids practicing a dance Sunday that two more teens were teaching. Will start swim team soon and Catherine and other teens will coach younger neighborhood kids. There is a magical theme in this neighborhood and its the expectation that older kids will mentor younger ones...and they do. It doesnt cure all that ails, but you want decent acting older kids...youve got a shot when they know they are rock stars to younger ones. Its a win-win. Wish it were modeled everywhere. :)
