Grace is what God has done and is doing for us because of Christ’s Finished Work. Because it is based on what Christ has done, it cannot be earned or deserved; it can only be received. It is human nature to feel that if we do the right things, we should get the right reward. But grace says there is nothing that you can do to earn what only God can give. The good news is that God freely gives us all things in Christ. Everything we need for Life and godliness has been given us in Christ (2 Pet.1:3). We are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Eph.1:3). All these things have been done for us and belong to us freely, given to us in grace. But faith is the hand that receives what God in His grace freely gives. Because of this, Satan greatly fears we will learn to walk in the simplicity of faith. Many believers struggle with the concept of faith. They know they should have faith and yet feel like their faith is weak and often wavering. How do we develop strong faith? Are there keys to building a faith that consistently pleases God? I believe there are. For our hearts to be established by grace we need to understand and walk in faith.
