Gracie has many fans but her story needs told so here it is. Gracie was brought to the shelter by someone who found her in the country, unfortunately nobody came to claim her. Anne at Twin Falls animal shelter put out a plea for Gracie and Power of the Paw stepped up and I volunteered to foster. Rachel stepped up to foster her temporarily while she awaited transport. Transport was yesterday and I have had sweet Gracie for 24 hours, honestly I was worried about the task it was going to be but she is a breeze! Gracie is very well behaved and loving and she has my heart! As for her condition Gracie has VERY severe arthritis, she snap, crackles and pops when you pick her up. Her back is in an arch and she walks a little tippy toed. Not only does Gracie have arthritis but she also has a stage 4 heart murmur, when excited or startled she starts back coughing and wheezing. Many shelters would not put forth the effort for an unadoptable dog but she got lucky and ended up in one where people care so much. We intend on keeping her comfortable and spoiled as long as we can but when the time comes that she can no longer fight we will not force her, I will be with her as she crosses the Rainbow Bridge and becomes young again. Less then 24 hours and I love her so much
