Graduation Ceremony of the First Four Students of (SACOTC) Graduated from the University of Divinity On Friday 2nd May, 2014, Very Rev Fr Abanoub Attalla, Tasoni Amal Samy Hakem Elmenchawy, Michael Chris Galli and Mark Ghaly became the first four students from St Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Theological College in Melbourne, Australia to graduate from the University of Divinity with a Diploma in Theology. Mark Ghaly also became our first student to be named a Vice Chancellor’s scholar, an award given to those students who show great achievement throughout their study. The ceremony, held at St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, was a joyous and proud occasion for the whole Coptic community with His Grace Bishop Suriel the Dean of St Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Theological College taking his place in official procession of academics along with several members of our college. Many of Melbourne’s Reverend Fathers, past and present students and general members of the Coptic community attending this special event. This year, 190 students from the colleges of the University of Divinity graduated at the ceremony on Friday evening, and over 1000 people attended the ceremony. youtu.be/C0mVQqU2rVU
