Graduation Gratitude March 31, 2014 at 2:08pm March 31, 2014, Monday, graduation of my youngest child, Gabriel Victor. I am simply happy he was able to graduate despite the odds we have been having for some time already. He may not have medals, but passing the elementary or primary stage of education is an achievement already. He may not be as intelligent as those who had medals, but I know my son learned some valuable things in his time at St. Joseph School of Pandacan. He may not be as nice or kind as the other students, in fact, him with either me or his dad has been frequent guests at the Guidance Office, but I know he learned the hard way about emotional intelligence. He may think people are against him, or he is misunderstood, but I know this school gave him enough discipline to handle himself despite our difficulties. The usual adolescent kicks is hounding him for now, but it will surely change once he is able to muster more courage to accept that his queries are far too many and will be answered in due time. I am grateful for a lot in this lifetime, and this is a blessing I am so proud of. I have had 3 other children who graduated from St. Joseph School of Pandacan, and so far, the school staff, teachers, principal and director has been good to us. Despite our predicament even our financial difficulty, they have helped us stay in the school for they know they can be of great assistance to us. Aside from the values my children can learn from them is fundamental to me. I am indebted to this school, where I was a graduate also. I remember one child of mine was not able to march for her graduation, it pains me during that time, but I know it was reasonable and valid, though hurting it may be, I have accepted it with grace and just continued to have my children study in the school. And the school people were considerate come next school year, as they say, all is well that ends well. I am not praising the school just like that, we have been through arguments and good debates, but they have been reasonable, and most of the time we compromise for the good of my children. I can say, this school, St. Joseph School of Pandacan, took care of my children for their much needed learning. I am thankful for I know, my children will stay with the school for more years with great enthusiasm for knowledge and values. To all the parents, guardians, aunts and uncles, we should be thankful, we have children who wants to finish the run of education in primary or secondary or tertiary despite the odds. We should congratulate ourselves as well for bearing everything for our children. Every graduation is a time of celebration. So now, let us celebrate and be ready for next school year! Cheers everyone!
