Graduation for Garden City High School will be held Saturday, May 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium at the school. The GCHS administration is requesting that guests do not bring balloons, air horns or other noise making devices to distract from the graduation ceremony. Each graduate will receive seven (7) tickets during graduation practice that will be held May 14th and May 16th. Graduates only need to attend one practice. The school administration requests that students who do not need all of their tickets return the extras at the end of the practice. The extra tickets will be made available for students who will need additional tickets. Extra tickets will be made available on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Commons Area at the school. Only two (2) extra tickets will be given to any one family until the extra tickets are gone. A table will be set up at graduation for collecting extra tickets in case there are guests who are unable to attend and will be distributed as previously noted. Guests are asked to enter the gymnasium and be seated starting at 5:30 p.m. The audience is asked not to move from their places unless they are leaving. The graduation ceremony will also be broadcast on the large screens in the GCHS commons area as well as the auditorium for those who do not have tickets for the event.
