Grafting: While listening to the message delivered by the pastor - TopicsExpress

Grafting: While listening to the message delivered by the pastor of the church of which I belong yesterday, the word grafting came to my mind as she was delivering the message from Matthew 13:24-30. A parable straight from the mouth of our savior, Lord Jesus Christ. We all, as believers, understand that there are weeds planted among the good plants of His field. Those weeds are planted by the enemy at the same time that good seeds are planted and we cant and should never try to distinguish the seeds and we should not try to pluck away the weeds. That is the job of our Heavenly Father and His alone. So I think of a troubled teenager that might start coming to church and not acting as though we believe he/she should. And I think of the other teens (probably because of their parents) saying they will not hang around them. Then I read 1 John 4. God is love! If we truly know and speak saying that Jesus is the Son of God then we are saying that we are living without fear and living in His love. So the thought I had this morning is that if and when we recognize what we consider to be the bad seed or weed amongst the good crops then we should not ever condemn but live in His love, because as it is written, His love is greater than anything in this world. Condemnation on the part of the believer and follower of Christ might reflect that quite possibly that person is the educated bad seed or weed. So the word grafting. If we remain in love and we know that His love will overcome, then the good plant will in time graft the beauty of His love in the weed and will in time become the beautiful and bountiful and desirable plant for His harvest. I am pasting the definition of graft in the verb sense. I sure hope each of you have a GREAT God loved day! Love yall! 1 a : to cause (a scion) to unite with a stock ; also : to unite (plants or scion and stock) to form a graft b : to propagate (a plant) by grafting 2 a : to join or unite as if by grafting b : to attach (a chemical unit) to a main molecular chain 3 : to implant (living tissue) surgically
