Grand huzzah for all Alberta politicians! Now the public has increased apathy toward civic involvement and greater skepticism about the ethical suitability of anyone working in the political arena. Meanwhile, foreign oil companies rake money out of this province hand over fist and leave us to clean up Mordor. My sons grade two teacher told me last week that spelling (and cursive) is in fact NO LONGER taught to children EVER, and printing was only taught in grade 1, so if he wants to be literate I have to teach him privately, cuz it aint gonna happen in school. My father dislocated his shoulder so severely a couple years ago that he tore the joint right off all the muscles, ligaments and tendons. He had to wait 5 months for what should have been emergency surgery, and by that time his hand hung below his knee. My husband, an immigrant, has been here a few years but has no hope of finding a family doctor. Wait, these topics raise my blood pressure--quick, get me to Home Depot for renovation therapy or let me count some airmiles! Maybe another trip to a hot place, yeah, where I can live it up with my oily 30 silver pieces. Ahh, I feel better already.
