Grateful thanks to those who braved the beastly weather to attend our Friday night Oldies Blast, and for our friends who werent with us tonight, we will look forward to better weather (SOON, I hope!) Still, everyone who dropped in tonight had a fine time...we had a bunch in for Bobs birthday, line dancers got to work it on out to the club mix of Celine Dions Im Alive, I reached way back into the Dusty Bin and brought out an R&B rarity from 1968, Too Weak To Fight, by Clarence Carter, lotsa good tunes from our featured artists Aretha Franklin and Roy Orbison, and we ended the night with Oh Girl by the Chi-Lites, Hey Girl by Freddy Scott, and Sincerely by the Moonglows. Got a Wednesday night special edition Oldies Blast comin up on Jan. 29, with a great dinner planned from 5-7PM: hot roast beef, mashed taters, green beans, and dessert for just $7, good old rocknroll from 7-10PM, and no cover charge that night, so if youre suffering from those cabin fever wintertime blahs, this lil get-together ought to perk you right up, and dont miss our salute to the Beatles on Feb. 7...therell be a big group from Leco there that night celebrating a retirement party, so strap yourselves in, cause its gonna be a wild night!
