Gratefulness for Nov 11 I am gratefulness for the photo below and what it means to me. It is my favorite coffee cup ever! Now if you have never had a favorite cup you probably wont appreciate this post, Favorite means you prefer that particular object above all others. Many years ago my 13 year old son had a favorite pair of jeans. He wore those so much they got holes in them. He wanted them patched and kept on wearing them. He liked the tight fit and everything else about those jeans. He was a victim of a hit and run accident. He was riding his bike and a blue car hit him. That is the only information he could remember when he recovered, He lie unconscious on the street and a neighbor came and got me. We called an ambulance and took him to the local ER. When he awoke with his conscious moments, he had only two questions about his dilemma. Oh, did they have to cut my favorite jeans off me? and Oh, did they have to cut my hair? . This was his only thoughts not what I expected to hear from him as I would gently and firmly tell him where he was and why. So you having a favorite is very important in this family. Coffee taste so much better from this cup. This cup was a gift from my daughter, Lisa this Spring. She gave Joe one that says Grandpa on it. We wash this special cup and dry it with care. No other cup will work for us since we have tasted from this cup. Now you may say that is foolishness or whatever, but I say you have got to be there to appreciate the phrase, my favorite ...........is ..........! Perhaps it is a particular vehicle model, a day of the week, a vacation spot, or something else, but all have them even if they have never been declared. A favorite is a favorite period! You enjoy your favorite (fill in the blank) and I am going to get another cup of coffee in my favorite coffee cup. Let me see I have rous portion of French Vanilla cream and stir it in. Sorry I must enjoy this cup with my fruit now. Thanks for allowing me to share my gratefulness for my favorite coffee cup.
