Gratitude - December 22 - I am so grateful for making time to catch up with old friends. Yesterday, Gale Brewer showed up for Sunday Service. Ive been trying to get in touch with Gale since June but did not have her correct contact info. The wild thing is that she and I met here probably 8 years ago and we realized that we attended the same junior high school and did not know each other. Amazing how when its time to meet, the Universe provides the opportunity. Gale is one of those amazing beings who lights up a room when she enters it. She has a beautiful glow about her. We talked after service for four hours and caught up on what all has transpired since we last saw each other. It was a very soul full-filling day. What gives me the greatest joy is having conversations with others where we share what is really going on with us and Ive always felt an immediate kinship with Gale. She has given me numerous gifts which are treasures to me. Two of these gifts are in my bathroom. The sculpture of the woman with flowing hair like limbs and roots for her feet is one of the most empowering sculptures. I look at it daily. Gale also painted the picture which hangs over my bathtub above my favorite scarf of Frida Kahlo painted by Beth Badour. Yesterday, she brought me a Yule gift to put my door. The crystal is to bring good things in and the hematite is designed to keep negative things out. Thank you Gale for filling my heart with love yesterday. I am in deep gratitude for you.
