An open letter to Wyatt Kelly as you start your Senior Year. Your mother may beat this to death, but make good choices. 27 years ago, when I started my Senior year, there was no Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, so my stupid decisions were only shared with those who were part of it. Things are different now - one ridiculous moment ends up viral in about a half a second. Youre an incredibly intelligent kid with a good heart. Yes, youre as goofy as a pet raccoon some days, but keep this in mind: theres no reset button now. This is where the rubber meets the road, and only you can pick what highway you follow. Mom, Dad, and I can guide you, but realize that you have all the power. I dont want to talk about potential, because potential is a fancy word that means hasnt done shit yet. Be a leader. Think of a team of sled dogs. The leader sees everything in front of him. The rest of the team only sees the ass of the one in front of it. Dont worry about making us proud. Make YOURSELF proud, and we will take pride in your accomplishments. Kill it this hockey season, kill it in lacrosse, and kill it in the classroom. We love you. Good luck.
