Gratitude 48: (1) grateful today for my senior citizens ladies of my Actors club. We are putting on a parody of Maltese Falcon.. aka kitchy korny film noir. These ladies are hysterical, and embrace acting with a passion. We have so much fun and I literally get paid well to sit and have tea and laugh. Acting is my new passion... and I plan to teach more forums in addition to my music. (2) For sun in December.. Wow I am actually wearing bermuda shorts and a polo shirt in Dec. And so glad I dont live in some cold, dirty and congested metropolis. (which will remain nameless).... (3) For the fabulous gingered pear oolang rare tea from China Im sipping in my new Victorian glass tea cups. So pretty they are raspberry blown frosted glass. Reminder to find the set in mint green for Dales new mansion. (4) Louise Hays books.. I find so much wisdom in her simple words that our thoughts create our reality. I am amazed how the simple act of gratitude, affirmations, and forgiveness can make quick life changes.. even in the mist of physical pain, and challenges. A great reminder to always put God and self first. which of course is one and the same. (5) Finishing up my new album.. Im so delighted to be creating over this year a 10 cd box set of volumes. The very first series that I know about in the genre of Cocktail Piano Music! It is an exciting undertaking .. a bit overwhelming but God ordained. I feel that I might be doing something exciting and beautiful for posterity... Keeping the history of Cocktail Piano alive and honoring and remembering those amazing pianists that have so influenced who I am: Liberace, Bill Evans, George Shearing, Martin Denny, Art Tatum, Vince Guaraldi, Oscar Peterson, Fatsie Watsie Waller, James. P. Johnson, Scott Joplin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, Bobby Troup, Burt Bacharach, Barry Manilow, Marvin Hamlisch, Sergio Mendes, Eliane Elias, Meade Lux Lewis, Willie The Lion Smith, Duke Ellington, Bobby Short, Peter Mintun, Billy Stritch, and so many others ....
