Gratitude for today: I have a loyal, loving husband who supports me in my efforts. When I was thinking about leaving the newspaper to do activism, his first reaction was to question what we would do for income; his second reaction was to call be back and suggest we go our for a celebratory dinner. I volunteered to be laid off. When I told him I might be arrested for standing in the General Assembly building and attempting to address legislators, he begged me not to get hit on the head with a nightstick. Hes not as afraid of me getting pepper-sprayed because that happened during Occupy Washington.
