Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse. H. VanDyke As we prepare for Thanksgiving, the Hardin County Animal Shelter staff would like to take time to express our gratitude for all the wonderful citizens and supporters weve met over the years. We are so thankful for each of you. Thanks to all those who have adopted pets and given them the families they so deserve. Thanks to those who have donated money or supplies to make our job easier. Thanks to all our supporters who have worked so hard to make the upcoming move to a beautiful new facility possible. We are amazed and humbled by so many acts of kindness and support. When we think that things cant get much better, along comes a wonderful surprise. A few months ago we made an appeal to supporters for Kuranda beds for the new shelter. Residents responded! We hoped to get 15 or 20 beds donated. We were so pleased when we realized that we only needed 9 beds to equip all the kennels. We were thrilled with such a great response. To our surprise today we learned that our friends from Hardin County Pound Pals had purchased the last 9 beds. Each kennel will be equipped with a bed because of such gracious community members. We are very proud to serve this wonderful community. So as we prepare for this special holiday of Thanksgiving we offer to you our gratitude, and our sincere thanks for the gracious support you have afforded us. From the depths of our hearts, we wish for you a wonderful Thanksgiving and we look forward to supporting this community for years to come.
