Gravity creates decompression on the spine. As the day goes on, - TopicsExpress

Gravity creates decompression on the spine. As the day goes on, gravity presses down on the discs, causing water inside them to squeeze out. Most people are slightly shorter at the end of the day- sometimes by as much as 3/4 of an inch. Discs re absorb water while sleeping as long as you are not dehydrated (like most are). Over the years the discs lose the ability to re inflate therefore the age of shrinking begins. A great way to slow this down is stretch, yoga, hydration and inversion! I need all I can get to keep my height! ;)
