“Great Clean Spacious and Quiet Accomodations” 5 of 5 starsReviewed yesterday NEW Came here for my Honeymoon - alternative to flying out to Maldives and much more affordable. Breakfast was included in a buffet style - Only about 9 or so accommodations, so very quiet place with very few guests and probably more staff then guests. Tried many of there different freshly squeezed juices which was nice. The food was also nice -ate once or twice on the pier dining area - but decided not such a good idea as there were quite a few mosquito flying around. Later on we just had dinner served to our bungalow. (only downside to this is that the food may not be as warm and krispy as if you had it served at the dining place) Received a complementary champagne bottle as it was our honeymoon. And had quite a few interesting towel art which my wife loved enjoyed seeing. The staff are friendly and no complaints. I also was able to tour around the area and visited Bentota beach(had fairly strong under currents @Around end of April), the brief garden - nice place for some pictures Kande Viharaya Temple - (make sure not to wear revealing clothes (the local police will ask you to cover up with a sarong they provide if you are revealing too much Just remember that this resort is not off the beach but on the Bentota river, so if you want to go to the beach, you will need to take a short boat ride which they offer daily 2 times a day for free. (the boat ride it self is pretty nice) This place also has a nice little forest type setting in the middle which you can walk around and also has its own swimming pool.(they have a local pet lizard which is pretty big and just lazily walks around the resort) all in all, my time here was both relaxing and enjoyable and I would recommend it as an affordable place to spend some quiet time in Sri Lanka.
