Great Forecast, Powerful Line-Up for 28th Annual Nikstock Music Festival in Owego this Weekend Event Features King Snyder’s Final Performance, LA’s Cardiac, Elevator Death Squad, Liquid Me, 40+ Bands and DJs OWEGO, NY – The hard-rocking Nikstock music festival kicks off this Friday, June 21, at Champion Speedway, 344 East River Drive, Owego, with gates opening at 10am. Nikstock patrons will be afforded performances by more than 40 hard-working bands, and DJs, from around the region and around the country, during the weekend-long event. Elmira hardcore heavyweights, King Snyder, will deliver their farewell performance at Nikstock on Saturday night. The band has been at the forefront of the regional music scene for some 12 years, and have performed with the likes of Fear Factory, Soulfly, Straight Line Stitch, and Dog Fashion Disco, to name a few. King Snyder has been a featured part of the Nikstock festival for 10 years. The Nikstock line-up features national act Cardiac (Los Angeles), Stone Soul Foundation, Elevator Death Squad, Liquid Me, and Pool of Thorns, and includes Ruination, Rize, and ST Dredd (Binghamton), Cousin Jake, Smart Alec, and Without Regret (Syracuse), Aggressive Betty, and Beneath Hell’s Sky (Rochester), as well as Tempter, and Alice Cooper tribute band, Nightmare (Los Angeles), both fronted by Nikstock founder Nick Fuoco. DJs, spinning dubstep and related will begin both nights around 11pm. “It’s like one big family,” said Fuoco, of the Nikstock festival. “Friends come from all over the country, every year, and make it a vacation.
